At OutWest Sorting Practices we focus on fun and family-friendly, so if you're new to the sport, this is the place to come and get your feet wet.  We run in teams of four (large pen), so bring your friends, or come alone -either way, we'll rotate you in with a variety of riders.  Cost is $30 per rider.

Consecutive Sort & Pen - In this event you will be given a 3 digit number (Example: 316) where you must bring those numbered calves out in that order, 3-1-6. One bad number over the line will result in your team being DQ. The correctly numbered calves need to stay over the line and if any part of a calf crosses back over, your team will be DQ. Once the calves have crossed the line in the correct order, they need to be penned, but the calves can be penned in any order. Time will be called when the third calf’s tail enters the pen. You will not receive a time if your team does not pen all 3 calves.
